Samsung has announced its new smart refrigerator, called the Bespoke Refrigerator Family Hub Plus, and it is the latest addition to the Family Hub line of smart refrigerators.
The refrigerator has a built-in 32-inch vertical touch screen, more than double that of its current model, allowing users to watch TikTok videos and order food from Amazon.
Videos can be minimized to a smaller window so that users can multitask on the screen.
Family Hub Plus also comes with the Samsung TV Plus service, which has over 190 TV channels in the US and 80 in South Korea accessible for free.
In addition to Microsoft’s OneDrive cloud storage system, the smart fridge is now also linked to the Google Photos cloud, which allows users to display personal photos on screen.
Art also has a place on this screen with Samsung’s Bespoke Atelier app. With the SmartThings app, the refrigerator can control air filtration and monitor energy usage.
The Family Hub Plus refrigerator is an expansion of Samsung’s suite of SmartThings home products, which launched in 2016 and aims to automate tasks through a connected home.
Samsung has not yet revealed its launch date or purchase price. This information could come when the refrigerator is shown at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show, the world’s largest consumer technology show based in Las Vegas.
